Runway for Hope is absolutely unreal. I met others that were going through the same thing I was and didn't feel alone. A part of me came out that I was hiding.
On Saturday, April 25th the New England Breast Cancer Alliance (NEBCA) will host its 4th annual Runway for Hope at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland. NEBCA's two-part mission funds breast cancer research, while also supporting local breast cancer survivors and their families.
As NEBCA's biggest fundraising event of the year, The Runway for Hope connects and empowers survivors through a fun filled runway show that features themed costumes designed by local artists. It's through the event's sponsors that NEBCA is able to achieve its dual missions!
Since the first Runway for Hope, NEBCA has:
Donated over $130,000 to breast cancer research.
Hosted events in Maine and New Hampshire in support of women with breast cancer.
Distributed over $300,000 in donated health and beauty products, clothing, toys, along with other goods to survivors.
Hosted regular meetups to build community and camaraderie among survivors and those supporting them.
The dual missions of NEBCA are lofty and cannot be achieved without the support of corporate sponsors in the region. Along with supporting breast cancer survivors and research, Runway for Hope sponsor packages provide wonderful exposure to a close-knit community that is appreciative and loyal.
